Boating in Islamorada
The Florida Keys is the crown jewel of boating destinations worldwide and has more opportunities for boaters than any other place on earth. Seven days a week, 12 months a year, nothing quite captures the essence of an sunrise or sunset on the waters off of Islamorada.
Mention the Keys to any boater and visions of sparkling clear waters, snorkeling, scuba diving, tickling for lobsters, deep-sea fishing, back-bay flats fishing, and simply relaxing and letting go immediately come to mind.
Calm Protected Waters
Nearshore waters are calm and clear, and offer respite from the tropical sun in the form of boating, paddling, swimming, snorkeling, kiteboarding and more.
The Islamorada Sandbar
The famous Islamorada sandbar is located less than a mile offshore around Mile Marker 84 on the Atlantic Ocean side, just off the Postcard Inn and Holiday Isles Marina. Very popular in the summer months, especially on holiday weekends, you will see hundreds of boats gather to create a huge party on the water.
